My child has never played before. Is he/she still eligible?
Absolutely! Our instructional T-Ball division is tailored exclusively to teach baseball fundamentals to 5 to 7 year olds. For older children, our competitive division teams contain many first-time players.
Our coaches strive to instill sportsmanship as they teach the fundamentals of the game, and our "veteran" players are happy to share their knowledge of the game. Return to top
- How much does it cost?
Registration fees for the competitive divisions (Farm-Minors-Majors) are $95 for the season, and T-ball is $85, payable at time of registration. Also, each child is responsible for an additional $60 in fundraising credits through candy sales, sales of ads in our keepsake yearbook, or buyout. Fundraising money is due by February 27. Managers will let you know what colors the team needs for these accessories at the first scheduled team meeting. Parents of players in competitive divisions will also be asked to furnish cleats and protective cups. Return to top

My friend's child plays in this league. Can my child play on his
team?
Teams in the T-Ball and Farm divisions are assembled geographically by the League. We will attempt to fill requests to play with specific children or for specific coaches. Returning players in Minor and Major divisions can be "protected" by their previous coaches, but new players in these divisions are picked by blind draw - we cannot guarantee placement on a specific team. - Is C.A.L.
Baseball a competitve league?
As a youth sports organization, we recognize and encourage the desire to win. Currently, several of our alumni are playing competitively at the Pony and high school levels. Through our partnership with the nationally renown Positive Coaching Alliance
(www.positivecoach.org
), however, we believe that a second, more important goal of any youth organization should be to teach life lessons. All of our coaches are required to attend workshops presented by the P.C.A., and you, as parents or guardians, will also be asked to attend a brief Sports Parent Clinic and abide by its principles.
