Fall Activities Begin!!
Are you ready for some baseball???
We are!!
Teams have been formed and managers will begin calling families on or shortly after August 14th. Only one senior division spot remains (10-12), meaning our fall teams are essentially full. We have begun waiting lists in case spots open up in any division.
Schedule:
Saturday, August 13th 9am - Manager's Meeting
Saturday, August 20th - Mandatory Parent Meeting - 9am or 10:30am based on your team
(your manager will let you know your time)
Saturday, August 20th - September 10th: Teams will have on-field practice one weekday (in late afternoon or early evening)
+ Saturday until games start, then weekday practice and Saturday game.
Saturday, September 17th 9:00 am or 11:00 am - FIRST GAME!!!
Saturday, October 22nd - Final games
Note: Our team managers set their practice times, so please contact your manager for your time. Junior and Senior teams may also go to the batting cages periodically, if scheduled by the team manager. Game schedules will be coming soon.
The league will provide a team shirt and hat for your child before your team's 1st game. Your child will need a baseball glove by first practice, and a pair of baseball pants by 1st game day (color selected by team manager, you will be advised at first team meeting or practice); Junior and Senior players should wear cleats (no metal cleats). The league provides team equipment that can be shared, such as baseballs, bats, catcher's gear, and batting helmets, but you are welcome to bring your own. Note: bats must be stamped USA Baseball logo and only bats designated for Tee-Ball bats may be used in the Tball division.
Volunteers are Needed! (LiveScan background check for our league is required for all Managers and Coaches) - ASK HOW YOU CAN HELP YOUR TEAM!

5 Ways to Support CAL Baseball
Please consider the Christian Athletic League for your charitable giving (whether you're looking for a year end tax deduction or just because you want to help the league beyond regular fundraising). We have recently begun a campaign to raise $15,000 for making improvements to the CAL fields and facilities, including funds to pay for infield clay this month, and a new mower and a new snack bar as soon as possible (more details are included at the bottom of this email). We will be grateful for donations of any size. The Christian Athletic League is a recognized public charity (tax id number 330939080), so your donation is tax deductible.
For your convenience, we offer the following methods for giving to our Field Improvements/"Field Funds" campaign:
No Dogs, Please
Our agreement with Divine Word prohibits dogs on the premises.
